There is a powerful transformation that happens when you swap a city sidewalk for the shifting sands of Ocean Beach.
In San Francisco, the coast isn't just a scenic backdrop; for the youth of the City Surf Project (CSP), it’s a training ground for life. Through our Dryrobe® Warmth Project, we are incredibly proud to support their Leadership Development Program, an initiative that proves surfing is about much more than catching waves. It’s about catching your stride as a leader.
The Ocean as a Mentor
For many students in the Bay Area, the ocean can feel like a world away, despite being right on their doorstep. City Surf Project changes that by providing equitable access to the Pacific, but their mission doesn't stop at the shoreline.
The Leadership Development Program is designed for students who have fallen in love with the sport and want to dive deeper into it. Here, the typical classroom setup is traded for the roar of the surf and the responsibility of mentorship. These young leaders aren't just learning to read the swell; they’re learning to guide their peers, manage equipment, and act as stewards for their local environment.

Designed for Impact
The Leadership Development Program is a pathway. It provides high school students with internship opportunities, helps them earn community service hours, and even offers a route to becoming certified surf instructors. By providing a structured environment where they can succeed, CSP is helping bridge the gap between outdoor recreation and future career success.
It’s about more than the stoke of the ride; it’s about the pride that comes from being a pillar of your community.

Sharing the Warmth
At Dryrobe®, we believe that the outdoors should be a space for everyone to grow, learn, and excel. By supporting the City Surf Project through the Warmth Project, we’re helping ensure these young leaders stay warm and protected between sets, allowing them to focus on what really matters: leading the way for the next generation of city surfers.
